Peaking at 2%

Yield hits the top of the trend channel on the weekly for the first time since March. We haven’t quite hit 2% so expect a bit more strength going into the meeting on Friday.

The BoJ’s press release will be inspected for clues of what to expect next, but there won’t be much to look at, it’s normally a one pager.

There won’t be any guidance because the market took control ages ago. But they do need to follow the plan and hike 25bps.
